Mission Systems launched in September a sector-wide program to provide transition support and employment to military service members severely injured in the global war on terrorism. The program, titled Operation IMPACT (Injured Military Pursuing Assisted Career Transition), strives to offer excellent and satisfying positions in which severely injured veterans can apply their valuable talents and experience while developing new skills and meaningful careers. The candidates currently available through this program offer a variety of impressive and useful skills, education and experience, and several potential hires have been identified.
The success of this program relies on strong support and involvement from committed Mission Systems employees. Individuals can offer support by identifying and referring qualified candidates, sponsoring creative opportunities for employment and development within their organization, and increasing program awareness by sharing information with other Northrop Grumman employees and subcontractors.
If you would like to become actively involved, provide suggestions, or learn more about available candidates, please contact Debbie Ortega, Mission Systems Operation IMPACT Program Administrator, at debbie.d.ortega@ngc.com.
