Richard A. Martin was sent home from Iraq after being injured by an improvised explosive device. During his physical rehabilitation at a facility in Fort Lewis, Wash., Richard met Operation IMPACT Program Champion Duane Hardesty, who encouraged him to apply for a job with Northrop Grumman. Today, Richard is a systems engineer for the IPIC program working in Clearfield, Utah. Richard has an A.A. in Business, a B.S. in International Relations, and an M.B.A. He says he will never forget his war zone experiences and the exceptional men and women with whom he served.
