After meeting with an Operation IMPACT team member at a center for veterans, Joseph Briseno, Sr., was hired for a position within the Information and Technical Solutions Division (I&TSD). Joseph's son, Jay, was severely injured in Iraq in June 2003 by a gunshot wound in the back of the neck while on a mission in Baghdad. The bullet caused severe damage to Jay's spinal cord as well as serious related injuries. Jay has been honored with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Joseph participates in Operation IMPACT as his family's primary wage earner.
