Tim Bomke served in the 116th Brigade Combat Team, Oregon/Idaho National Guard, for 5½ years and was severely injured during his first and only tour in Iraq. While in the hospital on medical hold, Operation IMPACT Champion Duane Hardesty reached out to Tim. In February 2008, Tim was hired by Northrop Grumman’s Technical Services sector in Lakewood, Wash., where he works as an Assistant Operation Manager for the Integrated Metrological Systems (IMETS) contract. Tom considers it a plus that many of his co-workers are reserve and retired military personnel. He is pleased with his Northrop Grumman experience and the fact that he is located close to his hometown of Redlands, Calif. He is grateful to Operation IMPACT for easing his transition into the workforce, and we are happy to have him as part of the Northrop Grumman family.
