After
Joseph Briseno,
Sr., met with a
program team member
at a medical center
for veterans, he
began working closely
with the Operation
IMPACT team. Joseph's
son was severely
injured in Iraq
in 2003. Joseph's
status as the
primary wage earner
in his family qualified
him for Operation
IMPACT. Joseph
was recently hired
within I&TSD.
In June 2003,
Joseph Briseno's son,
Joseph "Jay" Briseno,
Jr., was severely injured
from a gun shot wound
in the back of the neck
while on a mission in
Baghdad. The bullet caused
severe damage to Jay's
spinal cord as well as
serious related injuries.
Jay was recently honored with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. See photos below. |
